Spa Essentials Spa Sanitizer (Chlorinating Granules)
The Spa Essentials Spa Sanitizer is a stabilized chlorinating granule product that helps to control bacteria and algae growth. With this product, you will want to maintain a daily level of free available chlorine of 3.0 –5.0ppm, a pH of 7.2-7.8, total alkalinity of 100 –120ppm and calcium hardness of 150-200ppm. When starting your spa after a new fresh fill, super chlorinate by adding 20g of Spa Essentials Sanitizer per 1000 litres of hot tub water, to shock the spa. Circulate water for a minimum of 15 minutes before re-entering. When doing weekly maintenance, you will want to add 10g of the product per 1000 litres of water. The Spa Essentials Spa Sanitizer consists of stabilized Cyanuric Acid, which helps to make the product pH neutral. The stabilizer will accumulate in the hot tub water. Keep the stabilizer within a 30 - 100ppm range by diluting with fresh water.
Spa Essentials Stabilized Chlorinating Tablets
The Spa Essentials Stabilized Chlorinating Tablets are similar to the Spa Essentials Spa Sanitizer. The main difference is that, unlike the granular formula, the tablets use a constant-release method. They require the use of a floating chlorine feeder or spa skimmer dispenser to maintain proper chlorine levels in the water. To maintain the proper chlorine ratio, add 10g of Spa Essentials Stabilized Chlorinating Tablets per 1000 litres and circulate water a minimum of an hour before use to ensure correct sanitizer balance. Hot weather, heavy spa use, and the use of a bubbler or blower may call for higher usage rates of product to maintain the correct ratio of chlorine in water.
Spa Essentials Brominating Tablets
The Spa Essentials Brominating Concentrate also controls bacteria and algae growth. With this product, the daily levels are the same as the chlorine. Free available Bromine of 3.0-5.0ppm, pH of 7.2-7.8, total alkalinity of 100 - 120 ppm, and calcium hardness of 150-200ppm. The Spa Essentials Brominating Concentrate is an easy-to-use sanitizer for hot tubs and spas. It quickly and completely dissolves to supply an effective bromine disinfection without clouding the water. When restarting the spa, add 6g of the Spa Essentials Brominating Concentrate per 1000 litres with the circulation system flowing. Test for available bromine and repeat dosage every 15-20 minutes until you reach the correct ratio of 3.0-5.0 ppm. If you are superchlorinating your spa, you will want to use 25g per 1000 litres to shock the water. This would be done if there has been heavy use, or once a week, to remove organic waste. This product also contains stabilizers to make it close to pH neutral to help keep your water chemicals balanced.
Spa Essentials Brominating Tablets
The Spa Essentials Brominating Tablets are very similar to the Spa Essentials Brominating Concentrate; the main difference is the delivery to the spa water. They require a floating sanitizer dispenser or spa skimmer dispenser to maintain a proper bromine level in the water. It is recommended that the daily usage with normal spa use be about 5g of the Spa Essentials Brominating Tablets per 1000 litres of water. This product is designed to provide a constant release of product into the water to keep a steady level of bromine dissolved in the water. If there has been higher than usual use or hot weather, you may need to add more of the product to keep the ratio perfectly balanced.
