Why Circulation Pumps Ship with the Discharge Facing Up
All standard Aqua-Flo Circ-Master and Beachcomber hush pump circulation pumps ship from the factory in a secure, foam-encased package with the wet end discharge facing up (12 o'clock position) to make sure the pump is not damaged in shipping. If your spa requires the discharge to be facing either the left or the right (3 or 9 o'clock positions), you can easily rotate the wet end after you have received the pump by using these easy steps. No disassembly of the pump is required for this simple task.
Steps to Rotate the Wet End Discharge
1. Locate the four through bolts on the back of the motor
2. Loosen the four through bolts with a screwdriver
Important: Do not fully remove the screws, as they can be difficult to get back in
3. Once the through bolts are loosened, the wet end should rotate fairly easily. Turn the wet end to the required position
4. Line up the wet end with the holes in the motor to begin reassembling
5. Use your fingers to slightly tighten the through bolts, making sure the motor is correctly aligned with the wet end
6. Use the screwdriver to securely tighten the bolts
Important: Make sure you do not over-tighten the bolts, as this can lead to irreversible damage to the wet end
